The nose of this wine, with a black core and garnet rim, smells of red and black forest berries, savory spice, and demi-glace. There is impressive fruit concentration here that allows the wine to linger on the palate. The tannins are soft and well integrated into the palate and offer solid structure without being overly drying. The medium-plus acidity is well integrated into the background. An elegant and unique wine, faithful to its origins, to enjoy with intense gastronomy.
Hand harvest of selected clusters from old vines (+ 70 years old), planted with a mix of native varieties (more than 20), being Tinta Barroca, Tinta Roriz and Rufete, the main varieties. The vineyards are located in the sub-region of Cima-Corgo (Alijó) and are at an average altitude of 500-600 meters, growing in schist and granite derived soils.
